- 17% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions
- 14% of energy consumption by UK businesses
- 10% of all industrial use of public water supply
- 10% of industrial and commercial waste (about 10 million tonnes a year)
- 25% of all HGV vehicle kilometres in the UK
